Auto-gas

Gas installations are more and more popular in Poland mainly due to low gas and high gasoline prices. The number of stations offering LPG is also increasing, as well as the quality and efficiency of LPG installations. 

Gas tank

To all determined to install LPG in their Calibra I recommend installation of a round shaped tank in place of the spare. A lying spare tire wastes definitely much less trunk space than a standard tank.

The round tank in the spare tire compartment is unfortunately 100 pln more expensive than the standard one (at least this is how much more I had to pay). The gas installation was assembled in Wrocław in “Auto-Sparko Gaz” at ul.Bogusławskiego – I recommend this shop – friendly and professional service and so far no problems with my LPG.

Fuel consumption:

- highway: at 100-130 km/h around 10-11 liters of gas per 100 km
- city: 12-14 liters of gas per 100 km
- highway: at 180-190 km/h around 15 liters of gas per 100 km

My foot is heavy so consumption is high, but its not possible to drive the Calibra differently… it would not be appropriate :)
