I’m still fighting with the air-conditioning system… something is leaking… so far the service guys poured in a dye to the cooling liquid and we will see in a couple of days where the source of the leakage is…

And still we don’t know where is the leakage – I was recommended to go to a under-chassis car wash and get the bottom of the engine (especially the air-conditioning compressor) thoroughly cleaned… After that I have a week of driving and we will see where the dye will appear.

I was at the car wash, the engine was cleaned – cost: 20 pln. Now a week of driving with the air-conditioning turned on so the dye might show along with the leaking cooling agent.

I drove for a week and the dye appeared… unfortunately on the compressor – replacement of the gaskets awaits me, compressor regeneration but all this in 3 weeks. Approximate cost: 300-400 pln :(

Today the compressor was dismounted sealed and remounted. Pressure is normal. Cost: 4000 pln. Service time: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. In a week I have to come back for a pressure check.

I did not enjoy the coolness for long… after 3 weeks the conditioning lost its power so I went for a check-up. It turned out that the radiator was leaking. The die showed in a few places – radiator for scrapping. This did not show earlier because due to a faulty compressor most of the liquid leaked through it and the radiator held up. When the compressor was fixed and gave the right pressure… the radiator went. Price of new original radiator: around 700 pln, price of new replacement: around 600 pln, replacement: around 100 pln + 100 pln for cooling agent refill. No thank you, I’ll wait… air-conditioning will have to wait till spring.
